Hollyoaks Girls Get Natural

In this weeks issue of 'heat' magazine some of the Hollyoaks girls tackled the make up remover and stripped their faces bare for the camera. In a 'No Make-Up Special' Stephanie, Rachel Shenton (Mitzee), Jessica Fox (Nancy), Bronagh Waugh (Cheryl) and Abi Phillips (Liberty) chatted to Heat about how they feel wearing no make up and their skin care tips. Working in front of a camera and spending hours in hair and make up for the soap puts strain on their skin but in a bid to promote natural beauty the girls have shown that you can look just as gorgeous without layers of slap!

If you click the picture below you will be able to view the whole article which I have scanned and uploaded (the pages are inexplicably not in the right order however). If you wish to share the document please refer back to this site, thank you :)

Sinead and Bart Take A Big Step

Next week's Hollyoaks sees the culmination of weeks of strife for the two lovebirds Sinead and Bart with Sinead's mother Diane. The eagle eyed Diane has kept Sinead under her nose to prevent Bart meeting her daughter, and the two teens have had enough. In a desperate attempt to escape their struggle and to be together the pair leave the village to make it as a couple living together in Wales. Without giving away too much, here are some screenshots from next week's gripping episodes which see Sinead comes to terms with the daunting possibility of complete independence and self sufficiency without the security of a family unit and the Hollyoaks village.

Stephanie Simply Loves Hollyoaks

Here is a very interesting interview with Stephanie from the Liverpool Echo website, which focuses on Stephanie's career in Hollyoaks. It has always been evident that Stephanie has loved working on the soap but this interview gives quite a big insight into her thoughts about the show before she joined, and the extent of her friendship with co-star Jonny. She also reveals a bit more about Sinead and Bart's relationship storyline which has been described as Romeo and Juliet - esque.
Stephanie really has made quite an impact since being on Hollyoaks and let's hope that she continues to have a fantastic time working on the soap and making her way in a tremendous career.

So here is the article from the Liverpool Echo:

STEPHANIE Davis couldn’t help but smile when she tuned in to watch the final of Over The Rainbow, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s search for a Dorothy in his new production of The Wizard of Oz.
Although the Prescot teenager’s dreams of performing in the West End had ended when she lost out in a sing-off in the fifth week of the BBC1 show, her hopes of becoming an actress were very much alive.
Just days after she bowed out with a rendition of Mr Bojangles, her agent called to say that Hollyoaks bosses wanted her to audition for a part in the Channel 4 soap.
Now 18, she has been on the show for just over a year and has no regrets about taking the part of Sinead O’Connor (named after the singer) rather than pursuing her stage dream.
“I definitely, 100% made the right decision, it’s Hollyoaks all the way,” she says.
In fact, it’s pretty much Hollyoaks 24/7 at the moment, as she’s filming her biggest storyline to date.
Sinead’s about to run away from home to be with boyfriend Bart McQueen (Jonny Clarke) after her stepmum Diane (Alex Fletcher) tells her to stop seeing him.
“Diane doesn’t want us to be together, so we run away to Wales. At first it’s all exciting, we go to a B&B and then obviously as time goes on it gets a lot harder.
“We eventually run out of money, have to leave the B&B and it becomes a struggle. But the only good thing is that we've got each other, like Romeo and Juliet,” she says.
“They do get a job on the fair and try and make the best of what they've got.
“It’s hard and they bicker, but they love each other and they make it up no matter what.”

Then Diane turns up and tries to take Sinead home with her. “They’ve got no money, they’re hungry, Sinead just wants a bath and to see her friends. It's a cliffhanger whether she goes home and has all those luxuries and doesn’t get to be with Bart, or she stays with nothing.”
Filming at Lime Pictures in Childwall has been convenient for Stephanie, who lives at home with her parents. But the schedule has been non-stop recently and she often works 12-hour days.
“It's kind of like living, breathing and sleeping Hollyoaks. I go home, have my tea watching Hollyoaks, then I learn my script for the next day and then I go to sleep thinking of Hollyoaks and then my alarm goes off to get up. It's all Hollyoaks, Hollyoaks, Hollyoaks.”
But Stephanie wouldn’t have it any other way. She grew up watching the soap after school and it’s a dream come true to be a part of it.
“I used to come home and watch The Simpsons and then Hollyoaks. That was back when Emma Rigby was in it and I used to fancy Newt.”
When she joined with the rest of the O’Connor family, as part of executive producer Paul Marquess’s radical makeover of the soap last year, she admits she was slightly overwhelmed to meet her screen idols.

“I used to call them all by their character names when I first started and completely embarrass myself like a proper dork!” she says. “It was a big change for the cast having all these people come in, but it’s like a big family.”
Stephanie says she relished the opportunity to get her teeth into some big scenes with her co-star Jonny Clarke – and admits she can identify with Sinead’s predicament.
“I’ve been with someone I knew I shouldn’t be with – you know it’s not right but you want to be together.
“I’m in a similar situation at the moment,” she reveals. “I don’t know what to do, but if you like someone you’ve just got to go for it, haven’t you, and hope for the best.
“Me and Jonny say it’s like the law of attraction, everything we do in Hollyoaks tends to happen to us in real life a few weeks later.”
When asked if she’s dating a co-star, she pauses then says “No” and giggles.
But she does admit she’s very close to him. “I actually love him to pieces, we’re so close, we’re like best mates.
“It's so embarrassing though, because every time we have extras on they’re like, ‘Is something going on with you two, because the chemistry is so real. You should get together in real life.’
“I know Johnny inside out, everything that he likes, everything he doesn’t like, so we don’t find it weird filming kissing scenes.”
Would she consider dating him in real life? “He's got a girlfriend at this moment in time, I think. But I don’t know, we’ll just wait and see ... we're just friends,” she giggles.
“But he’s hot, he's so hot. When we're kissing, they’re like ‘Cut! We’ve said cut now, you can stop'. They’ll say cut and we'll just finish it off.”

A Brunette Amongst Blondes

The very first tour of the critically acclaimed new musical 'Legally Blonde' has hit the city of Liverpool and last night the stars came out to grace the pink carpet and enjoy the show! Stephanie was amongst the guests at the Liverpool Empire to see Faye Brooks as Elle Woods and Liverpudlian girl Liz McClarnon (formerly of Atomic Kitten) as divorced beautician and best friend to Elle; Paulette Bonafonte. Having seen the west end production I can assure you that the musical is simply fantastic. It's tongue-in-cheek, fast and fun: the perfect feel good escapism, even on the bleakest of days! As for the tour, Click Liverpool rated it 8/10, adding that 'this musical ticks all the boxes and spirits cannot fail to be lifted as we witness Elle's triumph in the court room. A sickly-sweet happy ending had the sell-out Liverpool audience on its feet with a rousing standing ovation.' Whilst Liverpool Daily Post claims that Liz McClarnon's comic timing is 'flawless' and says that 'even the most dour character must surely leave the theatre secretly humming the catchy soundtrack'. To read more of the review click here.

The Legally Blonde tour is also coming to Bristol, York, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stoke, Birmingham, Manchester, Torquay, Nottingham and Sunderland. It comes to the end of its run on new years eve.

Stephanie was certainly looking forward to the evening and looked gorgeous in a cute summery floral dress. Here are a few shots taken outside the Liverpool Empire!

Chester Rocks!

Chester certainly rocked out last weekend as the new two day festival spectacular 'Chester Rocks' kicked off, boasting a strong line up including rock legends such as Feeder and Iggy Pop then pop favourites Sugababes, The Saturdays and The Wanted. Present was what looked like the majority of the Hollyoaks cast who spent the day enjoying the bands whilst lapping up the sunshine and the infectious festival buzz.

Stephanie and Ellis (Tom Cunningham) working the festival look with the hat there!
Stephanie's working the crowd!
